Trapiche Oak Cask Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
Wine AdvocateThe Cabernet from the Oak Cask line I tasted was the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Oak Cask, a red produced with grapes from throughout Mendoza that fermented in stainless steel. 40% of the wine matured for nine months in French oak barrels and the rest was kept in cement vats. It shows a mixture of berries and an herbal pinch. The palate is very polished, tasty and approachable. It ends with supple flavors, somewhat salty. There are 1.2 million bottles of this wine bottled in 12 different lots.
