Wine SpectatorOpen-knit, with good plum, blackberry and black cherry fruit, lined with notes of licorice and warm cocoa. The finish is ripe and gentle. Drink now through 2015. 5,800 cases made.
Wine AdvocateMouton Rothschild's former administrator, Patrick Leon, owns this Fronsac estate. The 2011 reveals juicy, concentrated, ripe, floral-tinged blueberry and black raspberry fruit along with some minerality that result in an enticing, complex set of aromatics. Medium-bodied, succulent, juicy and fleshy, this is a strong effort for Les Trois Croix that qualifies as a sleeper of the vintage. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. Drink Date: 2014-2022.
