The Extra Viejo (golden premium) has a golden/amber hue, it's wonderfully rich and smooth, with hints of caramel, dried fruits and vanilla all in harmony. A wonderful rum, a must have for the connoisseurs of Caribbean rums.
This is by far one of the most popular rums from the Dominican Republic. Founded in 1888 by Andres Brugal Montener, the company is now one of the largest rum producers in the Caribbean.

A mature bouquet of mildly toasty aromas of marshmallow, light toffee, caramel, and milk chocolate; further aeration stimulates background notes of nutmeg and cinnamon. The palate entry is integrated, moderately oily, chocolaty and gently sweet; at midpalate the taste profile expands to include honey, molasses and egg cream. Finishes up elegantly and sweet. Best Buy. Superb/Highly Recommended.
