A somewhat unknown varietal here in the United States, Viognier’s popularity has grown tremendously in the last few years due to its versatility, intense aromatics, and bright fruit flavors. Some even consider it to be the next Chardonnay. While its name is a mouthful so is the wine; just say…vee-own-yay.
